Technical Rescue Magazine Feature

We've made it into Issue 57 of the international Technical Rescue Magazine. Here's a snippet:

Communications and team management are drastically improved by providing a central information store that members can access from home, work, or their mobile handsets in the field. How do I add a spell-checker?

One of our most requested features is a spell checker! People want their incident and exercise reports spell checked before submission. We believe that this isn't an issue for our application, it's a feature of your web browser. We recommend our users install a plug-in for their browser that will spell check all their pages, and will allow you to build up a dictionary of custom words and spellings unique to you.

Internet Explorer
We recommend the Google Toolbar (turn on autofix).

Firefox Install Firefox
Already built-in spell checker - we recommend you get the right language pack for the Firefox dictionary plugin.

Chrome Install Chrome
Already built-in spell-checker!

Emergency Services Magazine Feature

We've made it into this issue of Emergency Service magazine in Ireland. Excellent coverage.

'Decisions for Heroes' is a new web-based software application that saves lives by helping rescue teams record and analyse their rescue operations and training programmes. First launched in Ireland in May 2009 to help rescue teams record and analyse their rescue operations and training exercises, ‘Decisions For Heroes’ held its official UK launch at the Emergency Services Show in Coventry in November 2009.

A smarter rescue team has arrived on scene in Canada. Over.

Our continually increasing worldwide team has jumped another country boundary to Canada! With the nation currently hosting the Winter Olympics, we're delighted to introduce you to The Canadian International Rescue Organization (CIRO) and Red Deer Search and Rescue (RDSAR) in Alberta.

Decisons for Heroes is now helping rescue teams to save more lives across Europe, the United States and now Canada. Jamie Schur, Planning Section Chief for CIRO had this to say:

"With this application we are taking a giant leap forward! The ability to track not only individual training and currency of that training but all aspects of mission readiness. Being able to have one place to go from anywhere in the world to access all of our team data is indispensible. Thanks D4H." --Jamie Schur, Planning Section Chief for CIRO
