Better Spreadsheet Data Exports

We've added 3 new spreadsheets in the last 48 hours. You can now export a matrix of all members attendance at each activity in a selected date-range and activity type. You can also export a similar matrix of all hours as completed by members broken down by activity. Now you've got this in a spreadsheet you can analyze and chart them as required. Your data, your way.

The third export is a matrix of qualifications against all current members. This gives you a quick overview of your team and who needs which qualification refreshed. All this is live on all accounts today.

D4H at SARSCENE 2010, Canada

The D4H crew are back from Canada and finally settling back into normality after attending the SARSCENE 2010 Conference in Montréal, Canada. The event was a fantastic opportunity to meet some teams that are already on board with us as well as meeting with teams and associations that are considering moving towards D4H to manage their teams and units.

Before the conference we enjoyed a couple of days off and were invited to judge the international SARSCENE games in our voluntary responder capacity. This gave us a good look into how SAR teams operate in Canada along with giving us the opportunity to share some ideas with each other.

Toronto Police Marine Unit

After a very successful and enjoyable time in Montréal we headed toward Toronto for a few days for meetings and to enjoy a few days off to see the sights.

On one of our days off we visited the Toronto Police Marine Unit where Sgt. Ross Lindsay kindly showed us around their impressive base on the waterfront.

Canadian Coast Guard

After our visit to the Marine Unit we then headed on to visit the Cobourg Coast Guard Station. Here we were lucky enough to be invited to take part in an exercise with the Canadian Forces. Two Canadian Forces C-130 Hercules airplanes with SARTech’s on board training in dropping liferafts and salvage pumps to vessels in distress provided an interesting afternoon for us.

The D4H 2010 Tour has almost reached and end. Next stop is Iceland next week for ICE-SAR 2010 and then one more scheduled trip to the UK in November for the Emergency Services Show.
